Jane Asher goes on tour, 1967

Jane Asher had a five month tour of North America with the Bristol Old Vic Company performing in two Shakespearean plays; as Juliet Capulet in ‘Romeo and Juliet’ and as Julietta in ‘Measure For Measure’. The first performance was in Boston on January 16, 1967. She left from London's Heathrow airport on January 15th 1967, and arrived back home on May 28th 1967.

Henry VIII & His Six Wives, 1972

Jane starred with Keith Mitchell as Henry VIII's doomed third wife, Jane Seymour, in the film "Henry VIII and His Six Wives" (releasd July 13th 1972) based on the 1970 BBC six-part television production "The Six Wives of Henry VIII", which also starred Keith Mitchell as Henry VIII.

  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  

 

In the real life, Jane Seymour (c. 1508 - 24 October 1537) was Queen of England as the third wife of King Henry VIII. She succeeded Anne Boleyn as queen consort following the latter's execution for trumped up charges of high treason, incest and adultery in May 1536. Jane Seymour died of postnatal complications less than two weeks after the birth of her only child, a son who reigned as Edward VI. She was the only one of Henry's wives to receive a queen's funeral, and his only consort to be buried beside him in St. George's Chapel, Windsor Castle, as she was the only consort to have a male heir.

"How I Won the War" premiere, 1967

1967, October 18th - The Beatles and partners seated in the balcony at the Pavilion Theatre for the "How I Won The War" Premiere co-starring John Lennon.  

Paul, Jane, Pattie and George Harrison arrived in Paul's Hispano Suiza. Jane's beautiful beaded dress was a gift from Paul.
