1956 - Young Jane Asher as Benesta and her handsome co-star Max Bygraves as Charley Moon in a scene from the film “Charley Moon” a story of life in a travelling circus.
In a 1973 interview Jane recalled her crush on Max Bygraves: “I did fall in love with him. I was about eight or nine, and he was terribly sweet and kind with me, and I used to cry at night because I knew I could never have him all to myself.”

1969 & 1970 - Behind the scenes pictures of Jane and her co-stars, American actress Leigh Taylor-Young and Welsh actor Hywel Bennet, and her director Robert Ellis Miller while filming The Buttercup Chain.
We can see Jane and Leigh trying on hats in a shop in Spain. Both enjoyed shopping and sightseeing together during their free time off the set. "We especially went to Spain for the sun, but while we were there we were flooded out!" Jane said.
We also can see Jane on location in various places, including the town of Mijas, in the Province of Málaga, in the autonomous community of Andalusia (South-Eastern coast of Spain).
The Buttercup Chain was filmed in the UK, Sweden and Spain, and was premiered on 24 September 1970 in London.

On March 4th, 2017, previews began for 'An American in Paris' musical at the London Dominion Theatre, and the press night was on March 21st 2017. The play will be running until September 30th, 2017.
Directly following celebrated engagements in New York and Paris, this critically acclaimed and multi Tony® Award-winning Broadway musical of love, hope and living your dreams is now lighting up London.
Inspired by the Oscar® winning MGM film starring Leslie Caron and Gene Kelly, An American in Paris features many of George and Ira Gershwin’s timelessly popular songs and music, including I Got Rhythm, I’ll Build a Stairway to Paradise, The Man I Love, They Can’t Take That Away From Me and ’S Wonderful.
Featuring its original, award-winning Broadway stars Robert Fairchild and Leanne Cope, and an exceptional company of 50 actors, dancers and musicians, An American in Paris tells the story of a young American GI pursuing his dream to make it as a painter in the aftermath of war.
Following a chance encounter with a beautiful young dancer, the ‘City of Light’ becomes the backdrop to a sensuous, modern romance of art, friendship and love.
Staged by some of the most celebrated theatre-makers in the world (including director and choreographer Christopher Wheeldon and designer Bob Crowley, together with the writer Craig Lucas), don’t miss this breathtakingly beautiful production that The New York Times called “a dazzling, transporting musical that turns Paris into a kaleidoscope of romance”.
Jane Asher plays the role of Madame Baurel.
